Tomato Launching Contest: Whoever launches a tomato the farthest wins a trophy and
bragging rights for a full year.
This fun contest is designed to combine ingenuity with a
competitive spirit that brings the whole family together. It can be as simple as your arm or a
complicated catapult. Last year’s winner, Jeremy Perkins, beat a 6 foot
trebuchet with nothing more than a sling.
Basically we have
only one rule:
It has to be safe! That means no
explosives, or AC electricity.
Contest will be held Saturday, September 26th 2009 during our Harvest
Party. You have til then to build and test your launcher.
You may bring it out
to the farm to test it anytime before the contest.
