are a little bigger than a plum, have smooth skin like a plum but a small pit
like an apricot. They are sweet measuring about 19 Brix! Sweet skinned with the
flesh halfway between the texture of a plum and apricot. (not quite as sloppy
as a plum but more juicy than an apricot) They are a meaty piece of fruit
perfect for eating fresh, smoothies, canning, fruit leather, preserves, pies
and cobblers. One medium pluot has about 40 calories, is high in Vitamin A, Vitamin C and fiber. And as with all dark red fruit it's full of cancer fighting antioxidants. The Dapple Fire variety is known for its delicious red flesh. One bite and you'll be hooked.
